Pigs are flying, hell has apparently frozen over and the Curse of the Bambino is, appropriately enough, history. Yes, the Boston Red Sox beat the St. Louis Cardinals to win the 2004 Championship World Series last night, something that generations of fans have not seen since 1918. The Iconfactory workers (especially the Foreman and the NewsHound) join our hands in celebration for these self-proclaimed “bunch of idiots” and savor the sweet taste of victory. After the historic comeback to beat the NY Yankees, we thought the World Series Championship wouldn’t quite measure up. Boy, were we wrong. Congrats to the Sox, their organization, the fans and all the players who came before this 2004 team who are sleeping a bit easier tonight. Whoo hoo!!
