For months, people have been writing and asking if we were going to update Pixadex, the outstanding app for collecting and organizing icons from Panic and the Iconfactory. The same question comes up when CandyBar enters the conversation and the answer to both has always been a cryptic one. That is until today. Cabel Sasser has broken the cone of silence and officially put the word out that your favorite icon apps are coming to Leopard before the end of November. For the record, they will be Leopard ONLY, so if you are not planning on upgrading anytime soon to the new OS, we suggest you grab the Tiger versions of Pixadex and CandyBar while you still can.

And while Panic works diligently to whip thousands of lines of code into shape, the factory workers are slaving away on the assembly lines to make sure our visitors have plenty of cool, 512×512 Leopard icons to play with when our software hits the street. We’ve been releasing Leopard and Vista ready sets for months, but there is still a great deal of work to be done. The best part is Mac users now get to use all those extra pixels we’ve been pushing. Oh happy day!

Surf on over to Cabel’s blog to get the full skinny on just what to expect in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned for exciting developments, both at Panic and around the factory floor. We’ve got all kinds of goodies in store for you. Onward ho!
