November 2008. Greensboro, North Carolina. The Iconfactory welcomes an enthusiastic new designer to the team. Louie Mantia joins us on the factory floor eager to jump in with both feet as we are ramping up our iPhone game development efforts.
April 2010. Louie prepares for the next phase in what will undoubtedly be an illustrious career as he packs his gear and jets to the west coast to board the mothership. We all wish him the best and expect him to secure Ollie a prominent place on a Keynote slide when he has taken over for Scott Forstall and works the stage at future Apple Worldwide Developers Conferences.
Louie has been an invaluable member of the team and will be sorely missed. Ramp Champ is one of the most beautiful games on the App Store because of his contributions to the user experience and visuals. His designs for the Ramp Champ and Twitterrific websites will be the templates for Iconfactory sites in the future. And his work produced for clients on iPhone and Mac projects are second to none. Louie now has the dubious distinction of being the first employee to ever leave the Iconfactory and we are honored and humbled that he was poached by Apple. Goodbye Five Guys, hello In-and-Out Burger! Dibs on his 30” Display!
