Working as a set designer and concept artist on the classic 1979 space horror film “Alien”, visionary illustrator Ron Cobb created a set of industrial icons that presaged the look of iOS 7 by over 30 years. Intrigued by the similarities between the two, Iconfactory artist Dave Brasgalla adapted Cobb’s signage to the iOS 7 layout “grid” as a design exercise.
