Back in June of this year, we asked for your help in telling Apple that you wanted Frenzic for your shiny new iPhone. Thanks in part to users like yourselves, Apple announced official support for 3rd party iPhone applications on Oct. 17th. While we all wait patiently for the SDK, we’re pleased to announce that starting today, there is a way for you to get your Frenzic fix on your iPhone or iPod touch.

Thanks to the remarkable efforts of Romanian based Robert Neagu and his mad Javascript programming skills, we are happy to have been proven wrong when we said that a web version of Frenzic just wasn’t a good idea. Robert set out to optimize ARTIS Software’s game code for the Safari browser and the result is an effective demonstration of what Frenzic could be like when the native version becomes a reality. The demo is missing sound, doesn’t sync with player accounts and lacks the robust nature of the desktop version, but it’s still loads of fun to play. The demo should come in quite handy while you wait in the early morning hours of those Black Friday shopping lines and beyond. For those of you who have not given Frenzic for the Mac a try, visit Frenzic.com to download a free trial of the game that some have called the best strategy game for Mac OS X, period.

We invite you to head on over to the Frenzic Demo page on your iPhone or iPod touch to give the demo a try and find out just how awesome Frenzic is for touch-screen based play. Enjoy!
