Ged’s been on an icon kick lately and is pleased to announce that one of his favorite sets, Ancient Petroglyphs from 2003, has now been updated with large resources for Leopard and Vista. The newly updated icon set can be downloaded for Mac or Windows or as a handy searchable CandyBar iContainer. If you enjoy primitive art, or bold graphic icons, then this is the set for you. Enjoy.

In the four years since the original EPCOT Network Nodes icon set was released, the Disney theme park has undergone even more changes. Familiar attractions from the 80’s and 90’s have vanished to be replaced with new rides such as Test Track and Soaring. Now you can recapture some of the original nostalgia of Disney’s EPCOT Center with a newly updated set of freeware icons from Gedeon Maheux.

All of the original 20 icons have been updated to include large desktop sizes formatted specifically for Mac OS X Leopard and Windows Vista. In addition, Ged’s not only added 10 newly styled pavilion icons to the set, but also a custom OS X Dock for use with CandyBar. Although The Scifi Channel’s epic re-imaging of Battlestar Galactica ended back in March, thoughts of the show linger still. So far we’ve released four BSG related icon sets and this week’s release from Talos is another collection dedicated to one of our all-time favorite TV shows and puts the bad guys, affectionately called ‘Toasters’, front and center.

Talos has managed to corral a host of Cylon Centurions from every age of Galactica for your Mac or PC desktop as well as a fun surprise that makes for a great trash can replacement. So while we wait for the return of Battlestar with this fall’s special TV event – The Plan, jump on over and grab BSG Fraking Toasters while you can. By your command!

Take one self-absorbed emperor, thrown in a dash of magical humility, and combine with a heaping pile of irreverent humor and you have The Emperor’s New Groove. Released by Walt Disney in 2000, the film tells the tale of Emperor Kuzco and his adventure to return to the throne after being changed into a llama by the evil Yzma. Ask any ‘Groove’ fan and they may say it’s their favorite Disney flick, it’s that good.

Last week, Louie helped get the ball rolling with his fantastic New Groove desktop pictures, and this week we bring you icons to put on those desktops.
