That’s right, another year’s icon design contest has reached its conclusion and with it, we are pleased to announce the Grand Prize, Runner-Up and People’s Choice winners of Pixelpalooza 2004. Our thanks go out to all of those who took the time to enter, as well as our generous sponsors who donated this year’s prize packages. Of those seen here, the judges selected 6 winners, and you the public chose the remaining three for People’s Choice. Together they represent the best in artistic achievement and originality for this year’s contest. Without further ado, here are your 2004 winners:

The Polls Are Now Closed!
April 13, 2004
Public voting has ended for Pixelpalooza People’s Choice 2004. As we begin to tally the ballots we would like to thank everyone for supporting your favorite entries this year. Please join us on April 21 when we announce all of the final winners. Good luck to everyone!
Get Out And Vote!
April 12, 2004
Today is the last full day of voting for your favorite contest entries in the People’s Choice Awards. If you have had a chance to submit your ratings for the icons in each of the three categories (OS X, CandyBar and Classic), we invite you to surf on over and start voting while you still can. Your vote will help determine the winners and bring fame and (slight) fortune to three lucky icon artists. Hop to it people!
People’s Choice Voting Begins Today
April 6, 2004
Be here at Noon e.s.t. today for the start of public voting for the People’s Choice Award for Pixelpalooza 2004. We invite you to visit each of the three category pages (OS X, CandyBar and Classic) and rate your preference for each entry. People’s Choice voting runs from today until Noon e.s.t. April 13th and the winners will be announced along side of the Grand Prize and Runner up winners selected by this year’s judges on April 21st.
We’ve made a change in procedure from previous contests for this year’s People’s Choice voting. Last year ballot stuffing was a serious problem and as such, we’ve decided not to show which entry is in the lead. We’re sorry if this is disappointing, but you can blame all those people out there who thought voting multiple times for a single entry was okay. Artists from around the world have put their hearts and souls into their creations, and if you value their efforts, please treat the contest with respect and vote only once in each of the three categories. Now get voting!
